Meet Our Leadership Team

Russell Corl of Magnum Forge

Russell Corl

Russell Corl began his consulting career at Accenture and went on to found Magnum Forge in 2008 with a mission to bring top-tier ERP implementation expertise to the upstream energy market. As Managing Partner, he leads business development, oversees internal operations, and mentors the firm’s leadership team.

Managing Partner

  • Russell began his consulting career in 1996 at Accenture, implementing SAP for global oil and gas companies. He and some colleagues left Accenture and founded a boutique upstream consulting firm where Russell was the Vice President of Consulting Services. He left that company in 2008 to found Magnum Forge. His goal in starting his own company in 2008 was to provide talented professionals who possess leading ERP implementation experience to the upstream energy market, offering a level of service that was not available in the market. Over the course of his career he has managed or provided client quality assurance on scores of ERP projects, merger projects, software selections, and software optimization work.

As Managing Partner, Russell splits his time between sales, overseeing several of the firm’s key processes (recruiting, finance and accounting, and others) and developing the skills and capabilities of Magnum Forge’s directors and senior managers.

Russell graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in communications and a Master’s in business administration from UT’s McCombs School of Business.
