Magnum Forge Supports $11 Billion Upstream E&P Merger

On March 13, 2025, Magnum Forge hosted an event to celebrate the successful completion of a large-scale upstream exploration and production (E&P) merger project. The project stemmed from the $11 billion merger between Chord Energy and Enerplus Corporation, which created a stronger combined operator with an enhanced focus on the Williston Basin.

Magnum Forge was engaged to lead project management activities for the integration of accounting and land data across approximately 4,000 acquired properties. Our team played a key role in managing data validation and user acceptance testing, addressing issue resolution, planning the cutover, and providing post-go-live support.

Reflecting on the effort, Lara Kroll, SVP of Accounting, shared:

“Magnum Forge was an integral part of our system integration efforts, and as a result, we were able to complete the project on time, setting the combined company up for success in 2025 and beyond.”

This project highlights Magnum Forge’s ability to guide complex integrations with precision and reliability, ensuring clients can move forward with confidence.
